About Cidade De Goa Resort
Cidade de Goa is located on Vainguinim Beach between a green hill and the deep
blue sea – the sort of setting that can turn even the most ordinary person
romantic. The resort built on 40 acres of lush greenery, was created to resemble
a self-contained Portuguese hill hamlet (the resort's unique architectural
grandeur, earned an international R.I.B.A. award). As you step in to the Lobby,
you are greeted with a spectacular view of the Arabian Sea unmatched in Goa. The
bright murals and the statues of Vasco da Gama in his three facets as an
Adventurer, Statesman and Philosopher, along with the fountains further enrich

Alfama: The Alfama restaurant is where you can savour authentic

Barbeque (Seasonal Operation): Set in a lush tropical space, this evening
restaurant is a visual delight. This restaurant gives you the chance to savour
such delicacies as grilled prawns and lobsters or the tantalizing paneer
shashlik.
A variety of sea food, meats and vegetarian dishes are cooked right before your
eyes. So just relax, grab a cocktail and soak in the romantic atmosphere. We
also have a Beach BBQ on Saturdays.
Miramar: Enjoy a sumptuous variety of local and international
cuisine at our air-conditioned, buffet specialty restaurant - Miramar.
Fantan (Seasonal Operation): Are you in the mood for wonton
soup, garlic prawns in Szechwan style or delicious honey pancakes with vanilla
ice-cream? Welcome to Fantan - our authentic oriental restaurant located by the
poolside which serves East Asian cuisine.
Lagoa Azul: Our Coffee Shop - Lagoa Azul is conveniently
located beside the swimming pool and serves a vast array of snacks and light
lunches that appeal to guests of all ages.
Taverna: A charming tea and snack lounge by day and a jovial
tavern at night. Join the fun at Taverna for cocktails, beer, and a chance to
sing the blues with our accomplished pianist - Tony. Taverna also has a sundeck
with a view of the pool and the beach

A few of these 'Damao-type' rooms are decorated with terracotta, mirror-work,
and straw mats, highlighting the influence of Daman (another Portuguese colony)
on Goa, hence the word - Damao.
